1952
a Film by Álvaro García
Short Documentary // 2022

"When Pablo de la Paz woke up, he was in the "room of the dead", guarded by a corporal and two soldiers. He had 16 wounds, including a ruptured liver, a detached kidney, and two ribs stuck in his lung. It was the result of the worst accident ever suffered in Madrid, that of the derailed tram that fell off the Toledo Bridge on the 28th of May 1952, at 20 minutes to 9 pm, with the final toll of 15 dead and 112 injured."

Pablo takes us back in time and deep into his unforgotten memories of how he experienced a tragic accident in 1952.
